Library
What you need, when you need it.
LEARNING THE LAW REQUIRES RESEARCH. And research can’t be done without great resources. The NORTHAMPTON University School of Law Library is the primary source of legal information for our academic community. As a future member of the legal profession, you’ll enjoy their support in helping you to:
Find cases and statutes
Research legislative histories
Explore federal and state regulations
Learn from secondary sources
SUBSCRIPTION DATABASES
Law students can access the Law Library’s extensive legal subscriptions, including:
Bloomberg Law
CALI (Computer Assisted Legal Instruction)
HeinOnline
Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education (IICLE) Online Library
Wolters Kluwer Cheetah
LegalTrac
LexisNexis
West Academic Study Aids

WorldCat
DEDICATED STUDY AREAS
Law students can reserve Law Library study rooms online. Instead of having to come to the circulation desk to check out a room, students can view which of the 12 rooms are available and reserve up to three hours of study time.
ELECTRONIC RESOURCES
Computer terminals with printers are located centrally on three floors, in addition to a full computer lab which offers PCs, Macs, and laser printers. All printing is free for current Law students from any library computer.
INTERLIBRARY LOANS
Law students may request books, articles, and other library material not available in Northampton University Libraries through ILLiad, our interlibrary loan management system. Students may also request any book from any University library and have that book held for pick up at their desired circulation location.
PUBLISHING ASSISTANCE
Advance your idea. Effect public policy. The library can help you navigate the world of academic publishing through the eCommons network or other resources.
